Handcrafted American Robin. I create each Robin using a hand-carded blend of wool roving and silk fibers. I pay special attention to each one and always reference photos of the real thing when creating them. Since they are handmade, they will vary. I use glass eyes for an authentic appearance. The feet and talons are made from wire, wool, and beeswax. I sculpt each beak from silk clay which is then painted and finished with a satin glaze.
