How it's made: The Barn owl feathers are created from a hand-carded blend of wool and silk. The fiber is attached using a very fine felting needle. The beak is also felted from wool and is sculpted with beeswax. The little Barn owl sits content in a woven grapevine wreath and which it is secured to with wire. Since the wreaths are of a natural material, there will be variations between them. Some with extra tendrils, dried leaves, etc. The ornament hangs by a twine loop. This is the beauty of handmade items from a natural material, each is created carefully with love and a bit of magic, and no two are alike!
